What is the Chamber

What is the Chamber?

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce is an active partnership of more than 400 businesses, organizations and individuals committed to strengthening the economy and helping the area become a great place to work, live and do business. The Chamber works with businesses and individuals in Orange, Pinehurst, West Orange, Orangefield, and Little Cypress and Mauriceville areas.

The Chamber is a membership organization. Its income comes primarily from its members’ investment in the Chamber and other types of direct support from its members. The Chamber is not a government agency and is not dependent on public funding.

The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce's staff helps industries, retail, service businesses, professional offices and community non-profit organizations identify ways to support their specific needs and to make sure that their individual views are incorporated into community decisions.

Small business development is evidenced by housing the SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) committee in the Chamber office. SCORE is a committee of retired executives available to provide counseling to persons wishing to start a new business or to persons who already have a small business and have questions concerning their business. SCORE appointments can be made by calling the Chamber office.

The Chamber is the voice of the Greater Orange Area businesses and an advocate for a quality community…the central hub in which you and your fellow businesspersons join hands to promote the projects that benefit you, your family, your business and your community.
